Metz Lewis seeks to hire an Employment Associate Attorney
Metz Lewis is a Pittsburgh-based law firm with a reputation for delivering sophisticated and practical legal advice to its corporate clients.
We are currently searching for an Associate Attorney to join our Employment Group. As an Associate Attorney in our Employment Group, you will handle a broad range of employment-related matters, including advising corporate clients on compliance with federal and state labor laws, drafting employment policies and agreements, and supporting Metz Lewis’ significant practice in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and securities transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, impeccable attention to detail, effective research skills, a solid understanding of employment law, and the ability to manage multiple client matters effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide legal counsel on employment law matters, including discrimination, wage and hour laws, wrongful termination, and workplace policies.
· Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, severance agreements, and workplace policies.
· Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and other legal documents.
· Advise clients on compliance with federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and Title VII.
· Assist with internal investigations related to workplace disputes and regulatory compliance.
· Conduct legal employment-related legal due diligence and assess related risks in corporate transactions.
