As an Employment and Training Contract Specialist, you hold responsibility for coordinating all activities involved with developing, managing, monitoring and evaluating employment and training programs. You will provide technical assistance in the awarding of funds to contractors as well as negotiate contracts and provide assistance to contractors in contract implementation and ongoing maintenance. Along with being the department's contact for contractor questions and concerns, this role will also frequently engage with the division's Fiscal and MIS teams to determine payments to contractors which includes approving or disallowing payment, identifying problems, and recommending corrective action.
