Salary Range: $21.00 To $25.00 Hourly

Job Summary

The Revenue Cycle (RCM) Employer Services Specialist performs client (employer) RCM functions as outlined below.

The RCM Employer Services Specialist (ESS) is a key contributor in the RCM employer services unit. The ESS is responsible for independently managing an assigned group of employer clients. The ESS must be responsive and professional in challenging situations. Works well in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment with a strong focus on customer service. Organized and prioritizes work for optimum efficiency. Has great attention to detail to research clinical services and ensure pricing accuracy. ESS updates patient accounts in the Medical billing system to correct any discrepancy. The candidate should be great at time management and respond promptly to client inquiries.

The ESS is required to bill and generate invoices promptly and submit to employer for payment. The ESS is to maintain a low dollar balance on accounts older than 30 days. Must ensure employers’ settle balances within 30 days of billing. This is achieved through phone call follow-up, emails, written notices and statements. This position works under the guidance of the Employer Services Manager. The ESS prioritizes data from multiple sources to provide quality service to employers. Develops excellent working relations with the client employer Points of Contact. He/she is in close contact with Employer AP departments, Risk and HR Managers. Communicates and collaborates with the internal Sales team, clinic and operations staff.

Qualified in functional areas such as but not limited to: Worker’s Comp guidelines, employment medical services, medical invoices, medical accounts receivable follow-up, negotiating with clients, insurers and patients for payments and defining payment timelines. Tactfully and skillfully sets firm but reasonable boundaries to collect. Position requires clear, concise communication in writing and verbally.

Key areas of success: Client relations, Client satisfaction, Collections.

ESS suggests changes, provides information on clients to sales operations. Attends in-person client meetings with Manager. Collaborates with peers and management. Performs special projects as requested.

Qualifications

Desired: Four years’ experience in healthcare revenue cycle or equivalent work with a minimum of 2 years in workers comp. Demonstrated experience in some area of client relations preferably in a health care setting. High proficiency in computer soft skills, MS Office 365 products.

Primary work is in an office environment. High phone and email communication.

Schedule & Location: MBI Corporate office in Phoenix, AZ. Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
