Job summary

Southwest Key Programs is seeking a Business Services Consultant in Harlingen, TX to build relationships with local employers, promote WorkInTexas resources, and create employment pipelines for job seekers.

You will coordinate with Workforce Center staff, conduct outreach and trainings, and ensure accurate postings and referrals while traveling as needed. Strong communication and bilingual skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with minimum 3 years of work experience in sales, recruitment, employment services, business services, marketing, outreach, or interviewing techniques.
• Or minimum of 60 college credit hours plus five years of full-time qualifying work experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must have own transportation to perform duties; professional appearance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop business relationships with local employers and create employment pipelines for job seekers.
• Assist Workforce Center customers in identifying tools and resources matching employment needs.
• Engage employers and refer qualified job seekers to WorkInTexas postings.
• Provide labor market information and guidance to employers, including employment strategies.
• Travel to meetings, training, outreach events, and other activities; deliver presentations as needed.
