Job summary

Washington State University's Academic Success & Career Center in Pullman, WA, is seeking an Employer Relations Manager. You will build relationships with corporate and community partners to promote the value of hiring WSU students and graduates, coordinate events like Career Expo, and lead student staff.

This full-time, on-site role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years of professional work experience in student services; Master’s may substitute for one year.
• Commitment to higher education and student success.
• Proven ability to build relationships with employers, alumni, and community partners.
• Experience planning, coordinating, and evaluating events with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience recruiting, training, supervising, and mentoring staff or student workers.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain close relationships with a variety of company employers and inviting those employers to engage WSU students.
• Increase job postings, recruitments, and hiring activity for the university's students and graduates.
• Generate increased monetary and non-monetary support for the career center.
• Plan, implement and evaluate Career Expo/Fairs and associated events/programs.
• Recruit, hire, supervise and evaluate professional and undergraduate student staff.
• Serve on departmental and university committees in support of the department and university's mission, vision, and strategic plan.
