Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana is seeking an Employer Consultant to lead workforce training initiatives and build strategic partnerships with area employers to align training with job market needs.

The role reports to the Vice Chancellor of Ivy+ Career Link and collaborates with Career Coaches, Academic Advisors, Deans, and K-14 staff to develop work plans and ensure services meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Three years of strategic and consultative sales experience.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel to campuses and professional development activities.
• Commitment to student learning outcomes and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Build campus strategy for employer connections and training/completions metrics.
• Coordinate workforce pipeline programs with apprenticeship, internship, work-and-learn, and placement efforts.
• Monitor demand-driven needs and skills gaps in key economic sectors.
• Cultivate partnerships with employers and provide consulting services.
• Lead VOC processes to co-develop workforce programs with stakeholders.
