Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in employer branding, recruitment marketing, community, or events.
• Hands-on experience running curated, hosted community or talent events at a high-growth startup or venture firm.
• Strong copywriting and creative direction with a portfolio showing brand and design taste.
• Plugged-in connector who knows SF tech and AI scenes and can quickly discover key events.
• Extreme ownership, drive, and a proactive approach.
• Ability to travel up to 25-30%.

Talent Brand & Events Manager | San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)

A fast-growing, venture-backed AI company is looking for a Talent Brand & Events Manager to make it one of the best-known employers in Silicon Valley. This is a high-ownership role for someone who takes a rough idea and runs it from start to finish, without waiting for layers of approval.

About the role

You will own talent brand, community, and events for a company that is hiring at a rapid pace. You will be the person who knows where the important rooms are in the SF tech scene and gets the company into them.

What you’ll do

• Plan, host, and co-host about one curated, intimate event a week in SF, including happy hours, dinners, and community gatherings that attract top talent (roughly 60% of the role)
• Identify the SF events, dinners, and communities the company should be part of, and bring the team along
• Own the employer value proposition and talent brand, and keep a steady stream of content going on LinkedIn and X, including copy and creative direction
• Run internal culture events that bring a fast-growing team together
• Occasionally lead larger events, such as hackathons and tech activations, with a scrappy, high-taste approach

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of experience in employer branding, recruitment marketing, community, or events
• Hands-on experience personally running curated, hosted community or talent events at a high-growth startup or venture firm (not just managing budgets and vendors)
• Strong copywriting and creative direction, with a portfolio or personal site that shows sharp brand and design taste
• A plugged-in connector who knows, or can quickly discover, the key events and communities in the SF tech and AI scene
• Extreme ownership, drive, and a proactive approach
• A working understanding of what attracts candidates to a company
• Ability to travel up to 25-30%

Nice to have

• Talent brand experience such as EVP development, career site launches, or engineering blog content
• Community leadership experience at a venture firm
