Job summary

City of New York seeks an Employee Relations professional to support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, engagement, offboarding, benefits, and HR operations. The role strengthens the team’s capacity to meet ongoing demands and deliver timely employee programs across DCAS.

Responsibilities include designing wellness initiatives, coordinating events, and advising employees on benefits and policies. Residency rules and equity commitments are emphasized in this public service position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with two years of community work/related duties.
• High school diploma with six years of related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education/experience with at least one year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, coordinating and implementing employee wellness initiatives.
• Promote and coordinate wellness and engagement events.
• Provide DCAS employees with information on health benefits, insurance, payroll, retirement, and agency rules.
• Maintain spreadsheets to track wellness program participation and outcomes.
• Coordinate workplace mediation conversations and guidance for employees.
• Manage the employee relations inbox and other shared inboxes.
