Job summary

Abbott Laboratories in Abbott Park, IL is seeking an Employee Relations professional to deliver accessible ER services across the organization. You will interface across businesses and countries, ensuring compliance with laws, policies, and practices.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 0-2+ years in corporate HR, with strong communication skills and discretion. Proficiency in Office tools, Workday, and Salesforce is preferred, and English/Spanish bilinguals are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 0-2+ years’ experience within a corporate HR environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work confidentially and professionally with all levels of employees.
• Software knowledge a plus: Microsoft Office Programs, especially Excel, Workday (or other system of record experience highly preferred), Salesforce (or other CRM experience highly preferred).
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
• Assist Office of Ethics & Compliance and Security with investigations related to Employee Relations issues.
• Maintain confidential ER data in systems and paper files.
• Provide professional service in accordance with the ER Service Level Agreement.
• Independently resolve Tier 1 cases and manage Tier 2 with guiding from manager.
• Understand customer’s business and ER requirements.
• Proactively bring forward solutions to address business requirements.
• Meet defined ER service level agreements.
• Implement solutions and execute project elements.

The Opportunity

This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location in the CHR Corporate Human Resources division.

Executes the delivery of services to provide a single point of contact for efficiently providing highly accessible expert Employee Relations. Interfaces across multiple businesses and or countries and ensures compliance with all relevant country laws, regulations, policies and practices.

What You’ll Work On

• Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

• Effectively and accurately maintains confidential ER data in both systems and paper files.
• Ensures professional service is provided at all times in accordance with the ER Service Level Agreement.

The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 – $122,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
