Job summary

Express Employment Professionals of Clarksville is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist for a direct hire role with a manufacturing client. The position pays $65,000 to $75,000 per year based on experience, and hours are Tue-Sat 12:00 PM–9:00 PM.

You will lead HR policy interpretation, employee relations, training, and compliance efforts, while building morale, conducting investigations, and representing the company with external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; field preferable in HRM, Organizational Psychology, or Labor Relations.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Several years of HR experience or 2 years in Employee Relations required.
• Able to lift up to 5 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement HR policies and procedures across the company.
• Lead employee relations initiatives and training programs.
• Maintain current knowledge of regulations and EEOC compliance.
• Promote the company’s image and participate in community affairs.
• Recruit, interview, and reference applicants; collaborate with outside consultants.
• Analyze absenteeism, leave status, policy application to improve employee relations climate.
• Lead internal investigations and audits for regulatory compliance.
• Support health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Balance workforce development and morale initiatives (50% focus).

Express Employment Professionals of Clarksville is currently seeking experienced candidates for an Employee Relations Specialist position with a LeadingManufacturer. This position is a Direct Hire and will pay between $65 - $75K per year based on experience. The hours are Tuesday - Saturday from 12:00PM - 9:00PM.

Responsibilities

• Leads the interpretation and implementation of established human resources policies and procedures throughout the company
• Leads the overall direction of the Company employee relations, training programs, and ensures compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity regulations
• Maintains government contacts and up-to-date information on regulations and laws affecting employee relations
• Assists in promoting and enhancing the Company’s image
• Participates in community affairs and represents the company in professional organizations
• Develops and recommends programs for the establishment of performance standards for employees
• Assists in developing methods for establishing standards for hourly & salaried personnel
• Recruits, interviews, and references applicants for open positions. Works with outside consultants as necessary
• Analyze issues such as absenteeism, leave status, consistent policy application, safety, productivity, etc. to determine employee relations climate and to drive approved recommendations for improvement
• Leads and drives the development and coordination of programs and plans to improve employee morale and ensure employee involvement
• Recommends and coordinates training and management development activities
• Comply with and actively supports the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures of the Company
• Must effectively utilize time and prioritize activities to ensure at least 50% of time is spent on workforce development and morale enhancement
• Must operate as an advocate for both employees and the Company consistent with Company policies, external laws and regulations and common sense
• Leads internal investigations and audits regarding compliance with external laws, regulations, and applicable Company policies
• Follows Company policies and procedures in assisting with employment determinations
• Performs other duties as assigned by management
• Good attitude, performance, and attendance is essential

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor's Degree
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Psychology, or Labor Relations is preferred
• Advanced degree in a related field is preferred
• Must have several years of relevant HR experience or 2 years of direct HR Employee Relations
• Able to lift up to 5lbs.
