Job summary

GALLO, a family-owned company with a 90+ year legacy, is hiring an Employee Relations professional in the Hybrid Telecommute role. You will advise HR Partners, managers, and employees on policy interpretation, performance management, and workplace practices.

You will lead investigations, coach on disciplinary processes, and collaborate with Legal, Disability Management, and HR COE to address workplace issues, driving improvements with data-driven insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 years HR experience in employee relations.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Willing to travel up to 5% for onboarding, training, meetings, and events.
  • Must be 18 years or older.

A Taste of What You'll Do

Join the Employee Relations Center of Excellence (COE) and play a key role in fostering a fair, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners, managers, and employees by providing expert guidance on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, performance management, and workplace practices.

You will lead and support employee relations investigations, helping leaders navigate complex situations with consistency, professionalism, and sound judgment. From coaching managers on performance concerns and disciplinary processes to providing recommendations on employee relations matters, you will help ensure alignment with company policies, legal requirements, and organizational values.

You will also collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Legal, Disability Management, and HR Centers of Excellence, to address workplace issues, support accommodations and leave-related matters, and enhance overall employee experience. Through trend analysis, training, and continuous improvement efforts, you will help identify opportunities to strengthen employee relations practices and proactively address workplace challenges.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of human resources experience to include employee relations experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of Gallo human resources experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of human resources experience to include employee relations experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
How You'll Stand Out
  • Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of human resources experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility to include at least 2 years of experience with employee relations.
  • Experience conducting employee relations investigations, including employee and witness interviews, writing investigation reports based on analysis of investigation findings, and responding effectively to sensitive employee concerns or complaints.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and processes, strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills, and experience working cross-functionally with all levels and functions within an organization.
  • Skilled in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS PowerPoint at an intermediate level, with experience analyzing data, drawing valid conclusions, interpreting complex information, and delivering presentations on complex topics.

The Fine Print

  • We offer a broad salary range to allow for long-term growth. Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. In addition to the salary, this position may be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participate in tasting room tip pools, as applicable.
