Job summary

COREcruitment Ltd in Los Angeles is seeking an Employee Relations Manager to join its people team. The role is hands-on, partnering with managers to help teams navigate people challenges and uphold a fair, consistent workplace.

You’ll manage investigations from start to finish, advise on performance and discipline, and work with Operations and HR to boost engagement and culture while ensuring compliance with California and multi-state regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR experience with a strong employee relations background.
• Solid understanding of California employment legislation and multi-state HR practices.
• Proven experience handling workplace investigations and sensitive employee situations.
• Comfortable advising and challenging managers when needed.

Were working with a growing restaurant group that is looking for an Employee Relations Manager to join its people team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, partnering with managers, and helping teams work through people challenges. Youll have a key role in supporting employees, guiding leaders, and making sure the business maintains a strong, fair, and consistent workplace.

What Youll Do

• Be a trusted point of contact for employee concerns, workplace issues, and conflict resolution.
• Manage investigations from start to finish and recommend appropriate next steps.
• Advise managers on performance concerns, disciplinary action, documentation, and terminations.
• Work closely with Operations and HR to improve employee engagement, retention, and overall team culture.
• Help ensure policies and employment practices are applied consistently and in line with California and multi-state regulations.
• Partner with senior HR leaders and legal advisors on sensitive or higher-risk matters.

About You

• 5+ years of proven HR experience, with a strong Employee Relations background.
• Solid understanding of California employment legislation and multi-state HR practices.
• Proven experience handling workplace investigations and sensitive employee situations.
• Comfortable advising and challenging managers when needed.
• Restaurant, hospitality, or multi-location experience is strongly preferred.
• Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus.
• A confident, approachable communicator who builds strong relationships at all levels.
