Job summary

Prince William County Public Schools seeks an experienced leader to develop employee relations programs, policies, and procedures that foster fair, compliant, and inclusive workplaces across the school division. The role ensures compliance with applicable regulations and provides guidance to administrators and staff on employee relations matters, investigations, and corrective actions.

The position requires strong knowledge of employment law, change management, and collaboration with the Office

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in employee relations or related field.
• Experience with K-12 or public education is essential.
• Knowledge of employment laws.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Designs, plans, and implements employee relations programs, policies, and procedures.
• Fosters change by creating and nurturing a school division climate that embraces the value of kindness, civility, diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Develops and delivers professional development in support of the employee relations program.
• Coordinates investigations and ensures timely, impartial processes.
• Manages the grievance/termination processes and School Board determinations.
• Provides guidance and resources in creating positive and inclusive working environments for all employees.
• Ensures compliance with laws and School Board policies and regulations.
