Sentara Health is seeking an Employee Relations professional to support leaders and team members across a division, ensuring ER practices align with laws and Sentara policies. You will investigate complaints, document matters, and identify trends to guide HR and operations in timely resolutions.

The role emphasizes proactive presence within the division, high-quality service, and adherence to the organization’s standards for employee relations and compliance.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• HR certification preferred.
• 4 years employee / labor relations experience without a degree.
• 2 years employee / labor relations experience with a degree.

• Provide Employee Relations support to leaders and team members to promote positive ER.
• Ensure practices comply with applicable laws and Sentara policies.
• Conduct investigations of complaints to resolve concerns and reduce legal risk.
• Identify and respond to situations impacting Sentara's philosophy on third party representation.
• Maintain timely and complete documentation of ER matters.
• Monitor division trends and recommend actions to HR and operational leaders.

Overview

Overview Provides Employee Relations support to Leaders and Team Members in assigned Division to promote and maintain positive employee relations. Ensures practices are consistent with applicable laws and Sentara policies. Conducts through investigations of complaints to identify and resolve concerns while reducing risk of legal action. Identifies and responds to situations that could impact Sentara's Philosophy on third party representation. Maintains timely and complete documentation of ER matters. Consistently delivers high caliber of professional work to achieve high level of customer service. Establishes a presence and is visible in the Division as a resource to proactively resolve concerns. Monitors trends within Division to make recommendations to HR and operational leaders on actions.

Education

Bachelor's degree (preferred).

Certification / Licensure

HR certification preferred.

Experience

4 years employee / labor relations experience without a degree.

2 years employee / labor relations experience with a degree.

Compensation

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $88,171.20 - $131,601.60 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
