Job summary

Samaritan Daytop Village seeks an Employee Relations Specialist to partner with management, support policy application, and handle employee concerns. You will lead investigations, guide corrective actions, and promote compliance with employment laws while driving engagement and culture across our New York locations.

The role is full-time, exempt, with a salary range of $73,000–$85,000 and comprehensive benefits. Some travel between sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of progressive HR experience with employee relations focus.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and formal investigations.
• Confidential handling of sensitive information and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for employee concerns and workplace complaints.
• Advise managers on policies, performance issues, discipline, and separations.
• Facilitate conflict resolution and employee engagement initiatives.
• Conduct impartial investigations into misconduct and policy violations.
• Analyze evidence, document findings, and determine corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
• Develop and communicate workplace policies maintaining confidentiality.
• Deliver leadership training on performance management and conduct.
• Maintain records, analyze HR trends, and report metrics to leadership.
