Town of Greenwich seeks an experienced human resources professional to oversee talent management and employee relations. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role manages performance review processes, training initiatives, job descriptions, and classification reviews for town staff.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field, with five years in HR management; SHRM-SCP or SPHR is preferred. Strong communication, analytical, and HRIS skills are essential.
Provides human resources expertise in order to develop and implement effective talent management solutions. Reports to the Director of Human Resources.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources or a related field; plus five (5) years of responsible work experience in human resources management. SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred.
Manages the administration of the performance review process for all Town employees, ensuring that reviews are conducted in a timely and effective manner.
Assists department heads, appointing authorities, managers and supervisors in addressing performance issues.
Identifies Town training needs and manages the development and implementation of appropriate training initiatives to meets those needs.
Reviews requests for new or revised positions and develops appropriate job descriptions.
Researches compensation, organizational structures, and job descriptions of relevant external organizations and reports findings.
Analyzes the impact of position changes on job classification and pay grade and makes recommendations to the Director of Human Resources.
Participates in pre-disciplinary meetings and drafts appropriate documentation.
Conducts workplace investigations and prepares investigative findings and related documentation as required.
Provides general employee relations counseling and support on a variety of human resource issues.
Supports Town policy and philosophy.
Performs related work as required.
