Job summary

Central States Manufacturing, Inc. seeks an Employee-Owner Technician to support production, material handling and quality across multiple areas, following standard work and safety procedures to deliver Right. On Time. Every Time. output for internal and external customers.

You will work with operators and supervisors to maintain smooth workflow, learn new processes, and contribute to continuous improvement while upholding the company values in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Hand tools and power tools usage in daily production tasks.
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles familiarity.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and production equipment knowledge.
• Teamwork and reliable work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Follow all plant safety procedures and wear PPE; maintain safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Support setup and operation of assigned workstations, including loading, catching, trimming, wrapping, banding, assembly, and roll-forming tasks.
• Perform material handling duties such as loading raw materials, catching finished goods, stacking products, and moving materials.
• Assist operators by monitoring machine output, reporting issues, and helping with basic troubleshooting.
• Complete production tasks using hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication-related equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform end-of-shift housekeeping.
• Train new hires on equipment, procedures, safety, and quality standards.
• Ensure Quality Control is performed at each work center based on QC standards and feedback.
• Cross-train and perform duties in multiple production areas as needed.
