Job summary

Kokolakis Contracting is seeking a qualified Estimator for our Tarpon Springs, FL office. The role involves preparing estimates, taking-offs, and evaluating bids while coordinating with subcontractors and project teams.

A Bachelor’s or combined associate degree in construction with 5 years’ experience is required, with strong communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities include bid management, plan reviews, SmartBid postings, and supporting CM/DB project estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction or combined associate degree with 5 years of experience.
• 5+ years in estimating/preconstruction.
• Read drawings and specifications proficiently.
• Experience bidding on local, state, and federal projects.
• Proficient in MS Office, Adobe, and plan viewing apps.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sections of construction estimates and take-offs.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids and scopes of work.
• Review project plans and specifications for all work categories.
• Create tab sheets for subcontractor quotes and bid leveling.
• Manage subcontractor solicitation and postings to SmartBid.
• Support CM/DB project estimates when needed.
• Travel to job sites, pre-bid meetings, and client meetings as required.
