Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a Subcontract Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of subcontractor relationships, from prequalification to closeout. The role emphasizes ensuring adherence to contractual specs, schedules, quality, safety, and financial requirements across projects.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with project teams, and manage risk while maintaining accurate contract records. The position requires strong negotiation skills and stakeholder collaboration on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in subcontract management, contract administration, construction management, procurement, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field with 0-5 years experience or 2+ years on active projects with subcontractors.
• Experience reviewing financial and contractual documentation.
• Familiarity with construction regulations, insurance, bonding and compliance practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with subcontract negotiations and procurement strategies for new projects.
• Conduct regular subcontractor performance reviews and address performance issues.
• Coordinate subcontractor onboarding, prequalification, insurance, bonding, licensing and compliance requirements.
• Review, negotiate, and administer subcontract agreements, purchase orders, change orders, and related documentation.
• Support project forecasting, cost reporting, accruals, and financial reconciliation.
• Track subcontractor deliverables, milestones, submittals, invoices, and payment applications.
