Job summary

Huck’s Market Store Manager in McLeansboro, IL, is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of the store within company policy and local laws to ensure the store is profitable and that customer service meets the highest standards.

The role covers customer service, general management, accounting, HR, security, maintenance and safety, with emphasis on operating a 100% employee-owned store and upholding the golden rule that the customer is the most important person in all our stores.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or store management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: provide prompt, courteous service and ensure store cleanliness.
• General Management: schedule staff, communicate with district/office, follow laws and policies.
• Accounting: manage paperwork, cash handling, deposits, inventories.
• Human Resources: treat associates with dignity, ensure breaks, training and records.
• Security: protect assets, monitor surveillance, ensure safe environment.
• Maintenance: keep areas clean, report issues, ensure equipment works.
• Safety: follow ladders, lifting procedures, signage, and incident reporting.
