Job summary

Scheels All Sports, Inc. is hiring a part-time Sales Associate for our Overland Park location. Earn $16.00-$19.00 per hour plus a commission and enjoy employee ownership benefits, including ESOP, and extensive associate discounts.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, driving sales, merchandising, training new associates, and using AS400 and handheld scanners. Flexible schedule supports weekend shifts and varying hours. Health coverage and time off are part of our benefits.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and 1-3 months of sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor with courtesy and a smile.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with customers and guiding purchases.
• Grow personal sales by hitting set goals and following Scheels' sales standards.
• Create a positive end-user experience based on products purchased.
• Maintain visual merchandising and assist with freight processing and inventory restocking.
• Demonstrate product usage and retrieve items from heights of over 6 ft.
• Attend required product trainings and store meetings.
• Assist in training new associates in the store's expertise.
• Navigate a computer and handheld inventory scanner (AS400, Office, Google Docs).
• Assist in other duties assigned by leadership.
