Job summary

LJA is seeking a Right of Way Agent to support public infrastructure projects across Texas. You will negotiate with landowners, manage offers and counteroffers, and coordinate with title companies to close parcels under Uniform Act guidelines.

Ideal candidates have a 4-year degree, valid Texas real estate license, and notary status. Travel within the state is expected, with reporting to multiple Texas offices as needed.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills; professional tone and grammar.
• Experience negotiating to acquire real property rights for public infrastructure.
• Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships, especially with property owners.
• Strong document management skills for electronic and paper files.
• High attention to detail and organized approach to workload.
• Self-motivated, ethical, and able to collaborate across teams.
