Job summary

Symbria is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Customer Specialist to join our team, delivering patient-centered service to seniors at assisted living and independent living campuses. The role focuses on verifying insurance and payment information, processing prescriptions, and assisting with enrollment, flu clinics, and survey preparation, with hours 11:00 AM–8:00 PM CST and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Pharmacy Technician License (CPhT) in states Symbria operates.
• Willingness to obtain multi-state licensure.
• Retail pharmacy or customer service experience (1 year min).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of brand/generic drugs and medical terminology.
• Ability to work weekends/holidays/rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance and payment information; perform Medicare Part D evaluations.
• Provide internal marketing within communities to grow client base.
• Assist enrollment and ordering via Medicare programs and cash-discount cards.
• Coordinate flu clinics and family nights with communities.
• Prepare for survey visits and new community transitions.
• Process new and refill prescriptions.
• Package and prepare cycle medications.
• Contact physicians' offices for refill authorization.
• Follow up with clients and document in the system.
• Collaborate with team; provide backup to other departments.
• Any other duties as assigned.
