Huck’s Market in Petersburg, IN is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a shift, drive profitability, and support the Store Manager through training and development. This role offers a path to store leadership through our training programs and relocation opportunities.

You will manage general operations, ensure top-notch customer service, maintain standards, and uphold safety and policy compliance across bookkeeping, human resources, merchandising, maintenance, and security.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously and uphold Best In Class standards using the gasoline intercom.
• Monitor shift hours and assist with filling shifts as directed by the Store Manager.
• Cover the Store Manager's days off and work at least two evening shifts weekly.
• Perform tasks assigned by the Store Manager.
• Communicate effectively with store associates and management.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and company policies.
• Model professional conduct for associates in the store.
• Notify the Store Manager of any sales, cash, or operating discrepancies.
• Ensure all associates wear the proper uniform and deliver prompt, courteous service.
