Job summary

Tempo Air in Dallas–Fort Worth is seeking an HVAC Selling Technician who blends high‑level diagnostic skill with clear homeowner communication to diagnose issues, explain options, and close deals. This field role emphasizes more than a typical technician and offers employee ownership through an ESOP.

You will diagnose, explain, and recommend the right path for homeowners, while servicing and selling replacement systems and service agreements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience.
• Trade or technical school training preferred, but not required.
• Strong diagnostic ability backed by field experience and training.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and work independently under pressure.
• Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company standards.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose residential HVAC issues and evaluate system performance through testing and observation.
• Explain findings clearly to homeowners and present suitable options within their budget.
• Sell HVAC replacement systems, accessories, and service agreements when appropriate.
• Complete job documentation accurately and professionally."
• Safely drive the company vehicle and represent the brand; work flexible hours including on-call nights/weekends.
