T. W. Frierson Contractor, Inc., based in Nashville, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our employee-owned team.

This role focuses on meticulous cost estimation for commercial, institutional, and industrial construction projects, from concept to bid. You will prepare detailed takeoffs, assemble bid packages, develop bidders lists, and coordinate with project partners to ensure accurate, competitive proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Architectural Engineering/Design preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in commercial construction estimating preferred.
• Proficient in pre-construction estimating, cost analysis, and project bidding.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and materials.
• Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in estimating software including Primavera P6, Trade Tapp, Building Connected, Join, Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, ACC Precon.
• Proficient in MS 365 Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.
• Create quantity takeoffs using ACC takeoff or Bluebeam.
• Develop bidders list and invitation to bid using Building Connected.
• Coordinate with project team for bidder lists and trade partner commitments.
• Prepare P6 preconstruction schedules and staffing plans.
• Analyze drawings and specs to understand project requirements.
• Conduct risk analysis and mitigation for cost and schedule.
• Organize bid packages and owner deliverables.
• Attend client interviews and meetings when applicable.
• Post bid cost benchmarking to maintain company database.
