Job summary

Employee Workplace in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Construction Estimator to turn conceptual designs into detailed budgets for a diverse range of commercial projects. You will collaborate with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver accurate, competitive estimates and clear bid packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business or related field preferred; equivalent hands-on commercial GC experience will be considered.
• Hands-on takeoff software experience (Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• General Contractor experience in commercial GC environment (3+ years preferred).
• Ability to build accurate conceptual budgets with limited design details.
• Strong knowledge of CSI divisions, building systems, materials, sequencing, and trade scopes.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed schematic, design development, and construction document estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, review plans and specs, identify risks and value-engineering opportunities.
• Solicit, evaluate, reconcile, and negotiate subcontractor/supplier proposals.
• Coordinate bid-day activities and assemble final estimates/proposals.
• Drive preconstruction from initial review to handoff; participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits.
