Job summary

Integrated Life Choices seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities lead meaningful lives in Colorado communities. You will provide person-centered supports, enable independence, and document care accurately across shifts, in homes and community settings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of checks including:Nebraska Child/Adult Protective Services Central Registry check, Criminal background check.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Support people in understanding and exercising their rights.
• Encourage people to live a fulfilling life as independently as possible through self-advocacy.
• Provide person-centered supports to meet people’s needs throughout their lives.
• Support and encourage positive interactions.
• Improve social connections and relationships.
• Provide transportation for those you are supporting.
• Teaching skills to improve a person’s life.
• Support and encourage participation in groups or organizations to meet recreational and social needs.
• Utilize Positive Support Programs to guide daily interactions.
• Support a person with personal hygiene and medical-related needs, including medication administration.
• Provide documentation at the end of each shift.
