Concord General Contracting is seeking a Construction Estimator to transform concepts and documents into competitive project budgets. You will collaborate with owners, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams throughout preconstruction.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of commercial construction estimating or preconstruction experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience developing estimates across multiple design stages.
• Conceptual estimating experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, building systems, sequencing, and subcontractor scopes.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documents.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar estimating software.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and working knowledge of Outlook and Word.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, schematic design, design development, and construction document estimates.
• Review plans, specs, addenda, and bid documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed estimates, bid-day spreadsheets, and supporting documentation.
• Solicit, review, and reconcile subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Lead and coordinate bid-day activities, including proposal tracking and scope review.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, client presentations, and interviews.
• Support negotiated projects, milestone estimates, value analysis, and GMP proposals.
• Prepare detailed scopes of work for subcontract and purchase orders.
