Job summary

Western Specialty Contractors, America's Master Craftsmen in Restoration and Preservation, is seeking self-motivated Skilled Caulkers for the Des Moines, IA branch. Join our branch production team to perform caulking tasks with attention to quality and safety.

Experience in a trade preferred; candidates should read drawings, lift 50 pounds+, and be comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and on scaffolds. Weekend or out-of-town work may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to demonstrate reading, writing and math skills to comprehend safety policies and instructions.
• Must be lift certified and comfortable working at heights.
• Must be able to work outdoors in high temperatures and use various materials.
• Must read drawings and work with hand tools to caulk and seal.
• Ability to stand, walk long periods, lift 50+ pounds, and work on scaffolds.

Responsibilities

• Cut out sealant, pack and shoot new sealant at a high quality.
• Masonry caulking.
• Doubt tee parking garage caulking.
• Window perimeter caulking.
• Control joint caulking.
• Window wet sealing.
• Perform all window perimeter sealant replacement.
• Rigging and working on scaffolding.
