Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-3 months of cashiering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers with a smile when entering and exiting the store
• Enhance the customer experience by engaging in conversation while providing personalized service and ensuring the digital receipt program is followed
• Accurately scan every item and ensure it is rung through and paid for before the customer leaves
• Promote the Scheels Visa card and explain its benefits, and encourage signing up for digital receipts
• End each transaction with a thank you to every customer
• Operate the computerized register and follow cash handling policies
• Maintain an awareness of in-store events and promotions and keep the checkout area stocked and clean
