Job summary

Scheels All Sports, Inc. is seeking a friendly cashier to greet customers, scan merchandise, and provide a personalized WOW experience in our Billings store.

You will handle transactions, promote the Scheels Visa, and assist with firearm purchases within ATF guidelines. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of cashiering experience, with a commitment to teamwork, accuracy, and customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, and/or 1-3 months of cashiering experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers with a smile when entering and exiting the store
• Enhance the customer experience by engaging in conversation while providing personalized service and consistently meeting the goals of the digital receipt program
• Accurately scan every item customers are purchasing, ensuring all merchandise is properly rung through and paid for before the customer leaves the store
• Treis merchandise with care, and bag purchases carefully and efficiently
• Promote the Scheels Visa card and clearly explain all benefits
• End each transaction by saying “thank you” to every customer
• Process returns and exchanges for firearm purchases
• Complete firearm background checks
• Assist with Gun Room housekeeping
• Ensure all ATF federal laws and guidelines are followed
• Ability to execute technology‑based processes for firearm and/or suppressor transactions
• All other duties as assigned
