Job summary

Sundt Inc. is seeking skilled carpenters to plan, lay out and perform all types of carpentry work in accordance with plans, codes and standards.

Work may include other crafts as requested by supervision, with a focus on quality, safety and efficiency. The role requires reading and understanding drawings and specifications, strong math skills, and the ability to work collaboratively on diverse teams in a construction environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–4 years experience in industrial/commercial construction, with increasing levels of responsibility as you advance.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards, and effectively use trade tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive working relationships with all crew members.
• Produce high quality work safely and productively at all times.
• Provide feedback to ensure materials, tools, equipment and information are available for the work.
• Look for opportunities for improvement in all tasks, methods and share knowledge with others.
• High proficiency in all related trade mathematics.
• Inspect subordinates' work, ensure accuracy and compliance with plans and specifications, explain deficiencies and take corrective action.
• Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time.
