Job summary

S&C Electric Company in Chicago, IL is seeking an assembler to join the Vista & Vista SD Assembly team. You will assemble VISTA units on the line and on the shop floor, supporting a production environment with a focus on accuracy and safety.

This role requires a High School Diploma, mechanical aptitude, basic shop math, and the ability to read assembly drawings. You will use hand and power tools, stand for long periods, and work at multiple stations as needed.

Qualifications

High School/GED diploma required.
Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical operations.
Ability to follow standard work instructions, assembly drawings, and specifications.
Demonstrated ability to use basic shop math and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

Assemble VISTA Switch either on the assembly line or on the shop floor.
Identify, transport, install, mount and bolt components (5–50 lbs) including bus assemblies and high-voltage switches.
Perform mechanical inspection using torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and tape measures.
Proficiency with basic material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools and gauges; operate overhead cranes where needed.
Operate simple machinery such as automatic press machines.
