Job summary

S&C Electric Company seeks an assembler for the Vista/Vista SD assembly team at our Chicago-area facility. You will join a production environment, assemble VISTA units and subassemblies, and work across multiple stations to meet production demands.

Candidates should have a High School diploma, 2 years of mechanical assembly or electrical wiring experience, and the ability to read drawings and use hand and power tools. Respirator certification may be required.

Qualifications

• High School/GED diploma required.
• 2 years of mechanical assembly and/or electrical wiring experience.
• Ability to follow assembly drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of using air impact tools and hand-held tools.
• Experience with electrical components and wiring is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble VISTA Switch on the line and on the shop floor.
• Identify and transport components; mount bus assemblies and high-voltage switches.
• Perform mechanical inspection using torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and tape measures.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely; use basic material handling equipment.
• Read electrical schematics and drawings; verify wire terminations and routings.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Production to meet requirements.
