SEARHC seeks an Employee Engagement Program Manager to design and execute strategies that boost engagement, belonging and productivity across the organization. You will own internal comms channels, develop recognition programs and lead cross‑functional engagement initiatives.

Pay Range:$36.46 - $51.29The Employee Engagement Program Manager is responsible for managing and enhancing the employee experience across SEARHC, ensuring employees feel valued, motivated, and connected to the organization’s mission and values. This role is housed within the Communications & Marketing Department and works cross-functionally with various internal stakeholders to develop and execute strategies that promote engagement, belonging and productivity.
The Program Manager oversees all internal communications channels, such as the intranet and digital platforms, ensuring consistent, clear, and meaningful communication across the Consortium. This position is pivotal in fostering a positive work culture by designing initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction, morale and connection to SEARHC’s goals.

Design and implement comprehensive engagement plans, including recognition programs, team-building activities, wellness initiatives, and professional development opportunities.
Align engagement initiatives with SEARHC’s mission, values, and strategic goals.
Own and actively manage all internal communication channels, including the intranet, digital platforms, and email campaigns.
Develop and deliver consistent messaging to employees across the Consortium to ensure clarity, transparency, and alignment with organizational goals.
Collaborate with leadership to organize and facilitate town halls, team meetings, and other employee communication forums.
Conduct engagement surveys, focus groups, and exit interviews to understand employee sentiment and identify areas for improvement.
Use survey platforms to measure the effectiveness of engagement initiatives and report actionable insights to leadership.
Partner with HR, department leaders, and other internal stakeholders to design and implement engagement programs that address employee needs.
Ensure cross-departmental alignment and support for initiatives that promote a positive work culture.
Create and manage programs that celebrate employee achievements and contributions.
Publicly recognize outstanding performance and encourage a culture of appreciation.
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion through initiatives and training programs.
Actively promote a workplace environment where employees feel respected, valued, and empowered.
Monitor key metrics related to employee engagement and satisfaction.
Present data-driven insights to leadership to inform and refine engagement strategies.
Research and integrate emerging best practices and technologies in employee engagement and internal communications.
Work closely with the Senior System Director of Brand Identity & Tribal Relations and the System Director of Communications & Marketing to align content strategies with organizational objectives.
Partner with internal stakeholders to implement impactful engagement strategies and initiatives.
Provide content support for organization-wide initiatives, campaigns and special projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, Sociology, or a related field. Progressively responsible professional experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
At least three years of professional experience in communications, marketing, or a related field, with a focus on employee engagement, program management, or internal communications.
Experience managing internal communication platforms is highly preferred.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to connect with employees at all levels.
Strong ability to build rapport, actively listen, and foster collaboration across teams.
Proven ability to plan, execute, and monitor complex initiatives.
Skilled in interpreting data from surveys and other sources to identify trends and make informed decisions.
Experience facilitating organizational change and implementing new strategies effectively.
Proficiency with internal communication tools and platforms (e.g., intranet, email systems, digital communication tools).

The
Employee Engagement Program Manager
will primarily work, full-time, in an office setting, with frequent opportunities for travel to SEARHC facilities and Southeast Alaska communities. Flexibility in working hours is required to meet project deadlines or accommodate organizational needs.
