Job summary

The Hilb Group invites students to join a hands-on internship in their Employee Benefits team, gaining exposure to real-world projects and client service initiatives.

Interns will shadow experienced professionals, learn the agency management system, and have opportunities to travel to the Richmond, VA corporate office for networking and volunteering events. This program may lead to full-time roles after graduation.

Qualifications

• Must be able to commute to North Carolina or South Carolina offices.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Preferred majors include Business Management, Marketing, Communications, Risk Management & Insurance, Actuarial Science, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Curious, motivated, and eager to learn about the insurance industry and grow professionally

Responsibilities

• Support the Employee Benefits team across a wide range of operational activities with professionalism.
• Learn our agency management system and shadow Account Managers and Producers.
• Support the front-line service team by assisting with daily administrative and client-service tasks.
• Attend client renewal meetings and support preparation of materials.
