Job summary

The Hilb Group in Uniondale, NY offers an internship within our Employee Benefits team. You will gain hands-on learning by working alongside experienced colleagues on real client projects and shadowing Account Managers and Producers.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, eager to learn about the insurance industry, and prepared to travel to our Richmond, VA office for intern events. This internship may lead to full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

• Must commute to Uniondale, NY office.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Preferred majors include Business Management, Marketing, Communications, Risk Management & Insurance, Actuarial Science, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Curious, motivated, and eager to learn about the insurance industry and grow professionally

Responsibilities

• Support the Employee Benefits team across a wide range of operational activities with professionalism.
• Learn our agency management system and shadow Account Managers and Producers.
• Support the front-line service team by assisting with daily administrative and client-service tasks.
• Attend client renewal meetings and support preparation of materials
