We are seeking a dynamic, results-drivenEmployee Benefits Analystwith a passion for group benefits and analytics. In this high-impact role, you’ll play a key part in the client renewal process by reviewing and comparing insurance bids—both fully insured and self-funded—during the RFP process. You’ll use tools like Excel and PowerPoint to prepare accurate, compelling presentations for client meetings, while also supporting claims analysis and reporting on current client plans. This is a great opportunity to contribute to agency growth in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the RFP Process:Initiate, prepare, and distribute Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to insurance carriers and third-party administrators upon the direction of the Client Manager and Producer/Advisor
  • Evaluate Proposals:Analyze and compare bids from fully insured and self-funded proposals to identify competitive and compliant options.
  • Carrier Communication:Serve as a liaison with insurance carriers to gather information, clarify proposals, and negotiate terms when needed.
  • Bid Consolidation:Organize and summarize bid data into detailed and accurate Excel spreadsheets for internal review and client presentation.
  • Presentation Preparation:Create professional renewal presentations that clearly communicate plan options, financial comparisons, and key insights.
  • Claims Reporting Coordination:Work with carriers and TPAs to compile and interpret claims utilization data for ongoing client reporting.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Employee Benefits Insurance Expertise:In-depth understanding of various group benefit insurance products, coverages, and underwriting guidelines.
  • General Lines Agent License:This position requires a license from day one.
  • Communication:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-Oriented:Meticulous attention to detail when preparing submissions and reviewing quotes.
  • Tech Savvy:Proficiency in agency management systems (e.g., BenefitsGuide), rating platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Collaboration & Leadership:Ability to work closely with producers, account managers, and underwriters.
  • Time Management:Ability to manage multiple submissions and deadlines efficiently.
