Jonus Group seeks an Employee Benefits Account Manager to join a growing team in Houston. You will manage 15 small-to-mid-market benefit accounts and serve as the main client contact, guiding open enrollment and carrier negotiations.

The role offers a starting base salary of $80,000 with room to grow based on experience and performance within a collaborative, growth-focused company.

Qualifications

• Life & Health (L&H) license is required.
• Experience with varying levels accepted; level-funded health plans a plus.
• Proficiency in Applied EPIC software is preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and client relationship management skills.
• Team-oriented work style is important.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of employee benefits accounts (A-Z account management).
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Conduct open enrollment meetings and provide guidance to clients.
• Negotiate with carriers and handle marketing efforts for accounts.
• Quote new and renewal business, with mentorship available for candidates without prior marketing experience.
• Support a book of business consisting of 15 groups, with a focus on small to mid-market groups (4-250 lives).
• Collaborate with the producer targeting groups with 50-100 lives.
