Business Management Associates (BMA) is seeking an Employee and Labor Relations Specialist with expertise in adverse and disciplinary actions, administrative and negotiated grievance decisions, and Unfair Labor Practice responses.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  1. Advising on and drafting the full range of ELR documents, such as adverse and disciplinary actions, correspondence regarding reasonable accommodation, grievance decisions, ULP responses, and leave correspondence.
  2. Researching and preparing for interactions with Labor Unions regarding employment conditions.
  3. Preparing and engaging in collective bargaining.
  4. Drafting written disciplinary and adverse actions.
  5. Organizing and documenting disciplinary and adverse employee relation case files.
  6. Preparing reasonable accommodation documents and related documentation.
  7. Documenting grievance decisions and adjudications.
  8. Documenting responses to ULP charges.
  9. Advising managers and supervisors on interim measures to protect alleged victims.
  10. Preparing findings memoranda and issues for management regarding violations and corrective actions.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Broad expertise in labor and employee relations to consult with the USCP LER team, providing guidance based on organizational culture and current trends.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Labor Relations, Human Resources Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in employee and labor relations, leave management, workplace flexibility, workers' compensation, and employee benefits.
  • Knowledge of FLSA, FMLA, and ADA interpretations and applications.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least ten (10) years of related Employee and Labor Relations experience.
