HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking an experienced cardiac physician assistant to join our established cardiothoracic surgery practice in Gainesville, FL. The role involves rounding on patients, assisting in cardiac and thoracic procedures, and supporting our team of expert surgeons in an employed setting with strong benefits.

Experience in OR and cardiothoracic care is preferred; vein harvesting skills are a plus, but can be taught. Some ICU work and on-call may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in OR preferred.
• Experience with cardiothoracic patients preferred.
• Proficient in vein harvesting (EVH and open) ideal but can be taught.
• Some ICU work – depending on need.

Responsibilities

• Rounding on patients in the hospital.
• First assisting in cardiac and thoracic surgery procedures.
• Support our experienced cardiothoracic surgeons in our employed practice.
