Job summary

County of Mendocino in Willits seeks an Employment & Training Worker I to assist CalWORKs Job Services participants in achieving self-sufficiency through interviewing, coaching, and referrals to housing, education, health, and other resources.

Under supervision, you assess eligibility, maintain records, conduct workshops, and connect clients with community partners and employers to expand employment opportunities.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of full-time experience providing case management, vocational guidance, employment counseling or placement services; OR One (1) year of such experience AND 15 college units in related fields; Associates degree or equivalent units accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide employability services and conduct interactive interviews.
• Administer and interpret vocational assessments and referrals.
• Perform clerical duties and maintain client records in automated systems.
• Collaborate with partner agencies and employers to expand opportunities.
