Job summary

S Knights Recruitment is seeking an Employability Officer to support participants at the pre-work stage across West Yorkshire, including Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Kirklees and Calderdale.

You will help individuals overcome barriers, develop employability skills and prepare for progression into sustainable employment, delivering practical guidance and one-to-one support in a compassionate, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in employability, employment support or related environment.
• Experience supporting individuals facing barriers to employment.
• Strong understanding of employability skills and progression toward employment.
• Confident providing advice, guidance, coaching or mentoring.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Able to motivate and engage individuals with different needs and circumstances.
• Well organised with ability to manage a varied caseload or workload.
• Committed to helping individuals achieve positive progression outcomes.

Our client operates within the employability and skills sector, supporting individuals across West Yorkshire to develop the skills, confidence and capabilities needed to progress towards employment.

The organisation works across Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Kirklees and Calderdale, supporting participants within local communities.

The Role

• Support participants at the pre-work stage, helping them prepare for progression into employment.




• Identify individual needs, barriers and areas for development through effective engagement and support.




• Provide practical employability advice, guidance and support tailored to individual circumstances.




• Help participants develop confidence, motivation and workplace-readiness.




• Support individuals to develop their employability skills and understanding of the workplace.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience working in employability, employment support, skills, welfare-to-work or a related environment.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
