Job summary

Rappahannock Area Community Services Board seeks a dedicated caregiver to support adults with developmental disabilities in their home and community. You will assist with daily living activities, medications, and documentation while complying with each resident's plan of care.

Your role includes overnight supervision, coordinating with families, and ensuring safety and progress notes are maintained. Valid Virginia driver's license is required and RACSB supports a safe, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Some experience working with adults with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Supports residents with basic needs including self-care, bathing, toileting, and household chores.
• Assists with social and leisure activities inside and outside the home.
• Assists residents with physician appointments and transportation.
• Administers and documents medications and daily progress notes.
• Maintains safety, documents, and acts as a liaison with family and team members.
