Job summary

Southern Hearts Homecare of Georgia inc is hiring Personal Care Assistants to support clients in daily living activities in Georgia. The role includes assisting with bathing, grooming, medication reminders, meal prep, light housekeeping and mobility support.

Applicants should have caregiving experience, excellent communication, reliability, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. CPR/First Aid and TB testing are required, and a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Previous Personal Care Assistant or caregiving experience is preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, respectful, and dependable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well-organized and able to follow instructions.
• Committed to client health and safety.
• Physically capable of performing required caregiving duties.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current First Aid certification.
• Current TB test.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Prepare meals according to clients’ needs and preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist clients with shopping and errands.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with mobility and transfers when required.
• Follow each client’s plan of care and assigned task sheet.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition or behavior.
• Document services accurately and on time.
• Respond quickly and responsibly during emergencies.
• Protect clients’ privacy, dignity, and confidential information.
• Perform other authorized personal care duties as assigned.
