Job summary

Southern Hearts Homecare of Georgia inc is seeking compassionate Personal Care Assistants to support clients in their daily living. You will assist with activities of daily living, bathing, dressing, meals, mobility, and companionship, while following each client’s plan of care.

The role offers an hourly wage of $14.00–$16.00, requires a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid, TB test, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Previous Personal Care Assistant or caregiving experience is preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, respectful, and dependable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well-organized and able to follow instructions.
• Committed to client health and safety.
• Physically capable of performing required caregiving duties.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• TB test and valid driver’s license; reliable transportation.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Prepare meals according to clients’ needs and preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist clients with shopping and errands.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with mobility and transfers when required.
• Follow each client’s plan of care and assigned task sheet.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition or behavior.
• Document services accurately and on time.
• Respond quickly and responsibly during emergencies.
• Protect clients’ privacy, dignity, and confidential information.
• Perform other authorized personal care duties as assigned.
