Qualified candidates will demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal skills and knowledge of patient care, with a focus on supporting patients and families while maintaining confidentiality and safety.

Qualifikationen

• Requires possession of or ability to acquire necessary knowledge, skills and abilities during the probationary period.
• One year of satisfactory full-time experience in provision of simple treatment and other patient care services under professional supervision.
• HS Diploma or GED or higher; NYS CNA license or CNA training program certification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Change simple dressings as directed and perform enemas, douches, and irrigations as directed.
• Apply hot and cold therapies as directed to provide comfort and relief.
• Chart and document care and/or behaviors as required.
• Take temperatures, pulse, BP and respiration rates.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal/hygiene needs to support patient care.
• Feed patients who require assistance to ensure proper nourishment.
• Bathe and dress patients and maintain personal hygiene.
• Protect patient rights, dignity and confidentiality.
• May assist with housekeeping tasks related to direct patient care to keep areas clean and sanitary.
