Job summary

Insomniac’s Emo Nite division seeks a motivated Production Intern for our Calabasas, CA site. The role offers hands-on experience within a dynamic production team, supporting event operations, content creation, and warehouse organization.

This is a non-remote, on-site internship requiring flexibility for events. You’ll work with the Production Manager and Coordinator across regions, assist with merch, travel logistics, and day-of execution, and gain exposure to major festival planning.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and interest in music industry, emo/rock music, and Emo Nite’s brand.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments and functions.
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with project management tools like Asana or Airtable is a plus.
  • Must have valid drivers' license and vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Production Manager & Production Coordinator in maintaining, updating, and organizing company databases and calendars including but not limited to Airtable & Google calendars
  • Assist PM & PC in coordination with Emo Nite teams in different regions regarding event operations leading up to the event and day-of details as needed
  • Assist PC in all of their roles and responsibilities including but not limited to, theme research and scenic procurement, staffing parties and advancing with said staff and venues, booking travel etc
  • Aggregate information used to create content for Emo Nite digital outlets, i.e. Emo Nite Radio and Emo Nite’s social pages and help shoot content where needed
  • Assist onsite at Emo Nite events where needed, including but not limited to Grave Raves, Festivals, etc
  • Assist PC with organizing and maintaining physical Emo Nite warehouse space
  • Serve as a runner and help with errands that arise week to week and for larger events
  • Assist PM with merch management for OOT parties and line launches
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

THE ROLE

Emo Nite is looking for a highly motivated and proactive Intern to join the production team in Calabasas, CA. This position will be a hands-on experience in an exciting, fast-paced, setting. This is not a remote position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be willing to travel to work during holidays, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines. Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels and drastic temperature climates while working on site at various event location. Must be able to work in open concept office space. Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization, which does not require sponsorship by Insomniac for a visa.

Hourly Rate

Hourly Rate: $18.00 USD **Please note that the compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the California Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements Law. It is estimated based on what a successful California applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in California or perform the position from California. Similar positions located outside of California will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Insomniac takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees.
