Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an EMG Technologist to perform nerve conduction studies and related tests under supervision in the EMG Lab. You will coordinate patient flow with physicians and other technologists to ensure efficient testing sessions.

Responsibilities include room preparation, electrode placement, instrument calibration, and accurate recording of findings. You will assist with reports and maintain safety and HIPAA compliance across duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree related field preferred; certification may substitute.
• CNCT or AAET certification within 2 years of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare EMG testing rooms with equipment and supplies; maintain cleanliness.
• Review schedules with team for patient flow.
• Calibrate EMG instruments for standard recordings.
• Prepare patient and place surface electrodes for NCS; identify normal/abnormal results.
• Explain procedures to patient; review chart for orders/special needs.
• Assist physicians with EMG studies and record findings.
• Enter billing codes after study completion for reports.
• Assist with anxious or uncooperative patients and ensure safety.
